Determining the correct amount of raw food for your dog is crucial for their health and well-being. It's not a one-size-fits-all approach, as factors like age, activity level, metabolism, breed, and ideal body weight all play a significant role.

General Guidelines for Adult Dogs:

The most common guideline for adult dogs is to feed 2-3% of their ideal body weight per day.

• 2% for less active or overweight dogs: If your dog is a couch potato or needs to lose a few pounds, start at the lower end of the range.
• 2.5% for moderately active dogs: This is a good starting point for most average dogs.
• 3% for highly active or underweight dogs: Working dogs, very active breeds, or those needing to gain weight may require more. Some very small breeds might even need up to 4-5% due to their faster metabolism.

Example Calculation for an Adult Dog:

Let's say your adult dog's ideal weight is 20 kg:

• At 2%: 20 kg×0.02=0.4 kg (or 400 grams) per day
• At 3%: 20 kg×0.03=0.6 kg (or 600 grams) per day

So, a 20 kg dog would typically eat between 400-600 grams of raw food per day.
